Saheli’s vision is a world free of violence against women. Our mission is to empower South Asian and Arab women and families to lead safe and healthy lives.

Saheli offers non-judgmental culturally sensitive services to domestic and sexual violence survivors from South Asia and the Middle East. Saheli’s trained domestic violence advocates speak several South Asian languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Nepali, and also Arabic. Saheli offers legal support including translation, accompanying survivors to court and police stations, and offering free family law legal clinics. All of Saheli services are free and confidential. Saheli’s trained advocates provide personalized, culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed care to South Asian and Middle Eastern women and families subjected to physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse. Learn more.

Economic Empowerment

Saheli’s Economic Empowerment Program gives clients tools and resources to live a safe, self-sustaining and empowered life. This includes financial and computer literacy classes, assistance to obtain certifications, financial aid for professional training, career planning advice, and resources to find jobs. Learn More.

Legal Advocacy

Saheli offers a range of culturally tailored legal advocacy services in various South Asian languages and Arabic with a goal to increase survivors’ access to justice. We assist survivors in navigating the complex legal system and use available resources, and educating the community on important legal issues. Learn more.

Support Groups

Saheli’s offers a wide variety of Support Groups for South Asian and Middle Eastern survivors of domestic violence in Quincy, Burlington, and Shrewsbury. Saheli offers mental health therapy groups in English and Arabic, Muslim support group, and other issues based support groups. Saheli also offers parenting classes and trauma-yoga classes.
