Apply for an Internship


As an intern for Saheli, you will have the opportunity to take on tasks that will help advance your skills in writing, reading, research, time management, and leadership. This is also an opportunity to work towards addressing gender-based oppression in the South Asian community. The Internship is offered three times a year and you may apply for any semester (Summer, Fall, or Spring). Depending on the timing of your internship, the tasks may vary to meet the requirements of the organization.

The tasks that the internship requires throughout the year include responsibilities such as completing:

  • Outreach
  • Marketing
  • Legal and Academic Research
  • Social Media 
  • Publicity and Marketing
  • Content Writing
  • Event Planning
  • Overseeing a Youth Leadership Program (depending on the semester)
  • Engaging in advocacy against gender-based oppression
summer
  • May need to do outreach around MA
  • Be available for certain tasks in the Saheli office at Burlington, MA 
Fall
  • Coordinate Youth Program Zoom Calls
  • Handle other tasks related to the Youth Program 
  • Coordinate with University Ambassadors if needed 
  • Assist in research for grant writing
  • Develop website content development
Spring
  • Coordinate Youth Program Zoom Calls
  • Handle other tasks related to the Youth Program 
  • Coordinate with Ambassadors if needed 
  • Work remotely to coordinate with Saheli staff and volunteers
  • Help with publicity and marketing for community fundraisers
