Domestic/sexual Violence Advocate

Lopa is a domestic violence prevention advocate at Saheli. She is a graduate of Calcutta University and has a degree in hospitality management. She has spent many years working with underprivileged women helping them complete state mandated courses in nursing, and then getting them placed at nursing facilities and doctors’ offices. She works with state agencies on behalf of new immigrants and is driven to help all women become self-reliant and independent. She speaks Bangla, Hindi and English.
