Saheli invites you to ‘Purple Thursday’ at the Burlington Library for Domestic violence awareness month. Purple is the color of domestic violence, it’s an opportunity to raise awareness to the cause and by wearing purple we remind everyone that we are not going to be a bystander.
All events at the library are free to the public –
October 7th 2021: ‘Know your neighbor’ – an opportunity to learn what makes us unique and appreciate each other’s uniqueness. Story time for kids and guest speakers to talk about different cultures, and fun conversations with each other. Kids are welcome.
October 14th 2021: ‘Online safety’ – talk by the Burlington Police, learn about how to keep personal information safe online, identity theft and much more…
October 21st 2021: Get ready for the walk – join the community to get ready for the Saheli 5K walk, come make posters, boards and art work for the walk. All supplies provided by Saheli and kids are welcome.
