Free Computer Classes by Saheli Start in Quincy Center

Saheli started an exciting new computer literacy program at the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy Center on October 7, 2015.  We thank Clayton Cheever and staff members of the library for their help in getting these classes started.

The Waltham Public Library class has started up once again and invites students and volunteers to attend.

These classes are a part of the Saheli’s Economic Empowerment and outreach program, a free community service to the Waltham and Quincy communities.

In Quincy, one lead teacher and six teacher’s aides attended the first class and led a very fun filled lesson on Windows, an introduction to computers.  With 12 computers, we had 15 students attending along with 6 Teachers/Aides and a Coordinator.  Everyone attending had something new to explore. Saheli teachers offered extra lab time before class and nine students will to take advantage of  them next week. More students will be joining next Wednesday, and Saheli continues to seek teachers aides. If you wish to volunteer, or be a student please call me at the number below.
