Saheli is the proud recipient of the Harvard Pilgrim Community Spirit Mini Grant of $500 from the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation. This program enables employees from Harvard Pilgrim, Health Plans Inc. (their affiliate) and Dell Services (their IT partner) to award an annual grant, to a local charity of his or her choice. Since the program began in 2002, these employees have directed almost $3 million to hundreds of organizations throughout their health plan service area – comprised of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Eric Schultz, Chair of the Foundation, and Karen Voci, President of the Foundation wrote to Saheli, “Through your efforts, and in partnership with our employees, we continue the strong spirit of community caring that respects the memory of those lost on September 11, 2001. Thank you for your continued work in our community. We wish you every success in all your programming endeavors!”
From all of us at Saheli, thank you to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation for supporting Saheli’s work in the community. Saheli will used these funds to empower a domestic violence survivor to obtain driving lessons and increase her employment opportunities.
