Saheli started a new program in Faxon Commons in Quincy in May 2014. Called Saheli Sabha South Shore, so far, the program brings together a dozen or more women with young children. Guided and led by Vandana Sharma, Saheli’s South Shore coordinator, the group meets on the first Monday of the month in the Faxon Commons Community Room at 11 am. Story time for kids, yoga for mothers, and discussions about Saheli’s work in the community are lively and interesting. To participate write to namaste.bandana@gmail.com or info@saheliboston.org. We invite speakers, crafts and artistic people, and those who are interested in speaking about women’s issues to write to us.
Yoga classes are 30 minutes long and led by Sanjyot of Stillness Power Breathe to be Alive, Breathe to have Bliss!™ of Westford, Mass. Children’s programs are led by DV advocate and volunteer Renu Tewarie. Join us in September for great yoga, bliss and conversations. Bring children too! Beverages and snacks provided.
