SAHELI PROVIDES
Support Groups
Saheli offers culturally sensitive support groups for domestic violence survivors. Virtual and in-person groups provide a safe and supportive space for survivors to connect, share experiences, and access peer support.
Group Offerings:
Wellness and Self-Care
The Wellness and Self-Care Group provides survivors of domestic violence with a safe and supportive space to focus on healing, self-care, mental health, and wellbeing. Through weekly sessions, survivors build practical coping skills, explore stress management and mindfulness, and develop personalized self-care plans to support recovery and empowerment. Participants also connect with peers who share similar experiences, fostering community, resilience, and growth toward independence and stability.
Listening Circle
Saheli's Listening Circle is a support group that offers a safe, confidential space where participants can share their experiences, listen with empathy, and support one another. Guided by respect and understanding, the circle encourages connection, reflection, and healing through shared experiences, so no one has to carry their story alone. Held virtually over six sessions, the program builds a sense of community and trust that grows each week.
Parenting Support Circle
Saheli offers supportive and structured parenting sessions where participants can discuss parenting concerns in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Sessions provide psychoeducation and practical tools to help parents better understand child development, behavior, emotional regulation, self-regulation, and the role of culture in parenting. Participants have the opportunity to learn, share experiences, and develop strategies that support healthy parent-child relationships and positive family well-being.
