Developing Saheli’s Capacity for Service
Five Saheli domestic violence advocates met together on Columbus Day 10/13/2014 and learned ways to use their database empower to improve data input, editing, and creating reports. The lead trainer was Family Services Coordinator Rita Shah. Domestic violence advocate Salita Mehta suggested changes to Saheli protocols and discussed ethical issues in working with survivors. Advocates Vandana, Renu and Gouri presented ideas for the new support group forming on the South Shore and invite interested volunteers to contact Saheli at 1-866-472-4354 to get involved with the program.
