On March 20, 2016, Saheli, Support and Friendship for South Asian Women and Families will be hosting our annual Mehndi fundraiser at Sons of Italy in Woburn, MA. In years past, this women and young girls’ event has been sold-out and is aimed at spreading the word about Saheli among other South Asian groups, particularly among the Pakistani, Nepali and South Asian Muslim communities. The event is being organized by our wonderful long-time Saheli volunteers, Farhat Rangwalla & Masooma Bhaiwala and promised to be another fun-filled event with laughter, music, dance, and excellent South Asian food. And of course, not to forget, the event will be rounded off with women and young girls having their hands decorated with intricate Mehendi designs while learning how to get involved more with our organization.
