Rita Shah and Gouri Banerjee attended an organizational development mini-conference on June 16th at Voices Against Violence in Framingham. Organized by Jane Doe’s Development Group it was a very productive day with two staff members from Casa Myrna presenting their journey to bring their organization to an operating budget of $4 million. The ED and DOD emphasized the importance of having a development officer, full board participation in fund raising, and the need for a development committee year round. Rita and Gouri came away with many ideas that can be implemented at Saheli and they will share them with Sahelis very soon.
